Verse 26
🕉 Original Sanskrit Shloka

na buddhibhedam janayed ajnanam karmasanginam
josayetsarvakarmani vidvanyuktah samacaran

🕉 English Translation

📜 Translation English

The men of enlightenment unswervingly established in the Supreme should not unsettle the minds of ignorant persons performing actions sanctioned by the scriptures with attachment. But he should keep on performing the actions approved by the scriptures and also make them do the same.

💬 Commentary English

Shri Krishna desires to make the art of actions a divine inspiration from every angle. The Blessed Lord is showing His large-heartedness here. Do not unsettle them. If any one is performing good deeds even though not with a selfless motive, allow him to let him do so. On being unsettled he might even drop whatever good he is doing. By keeping on doing good it is possible that his consciousness may awaken and he may on his own be drawn to that noble state, where the knowledge of Reality resides. One should wait for this state to arrive with patience and conviction. The continuous performance of good deeds has its effect which can at sometime inspire one to think and reflect and motivate one to progress on the path of elevation.
