That Supreme is the cause of all beings. He is beyond body, mind, intellect, Natures & Universe. Keeping his supremacy in mind and surrendring whole heartedly to lord is inspiration of fifteenth chapter.
Action, devotion or knowledge whatever subject it may be; in the Gitaji every issue has been described from every viewpoint. The issue has been touched from its foundation to its pinnacle and the seeker has been inspired to progress in accordance with it. The subject of knowledge is continuing. The world, the embodied being and the Supreme-the analysis of all these three is essential for reaching the essence of knowledge. In the 14th chapter the three attributes have been discussed in detail. In the creation of the world all three have a role to play-the state of the being on the prevalence of these attributes, on giving up the body on the basis of these attributes, the subject of the being taking good or low birth has also been described and then the description of the state of transcendence of all the three attributes.
In reality, this very state is the desired destination and goal to be achieved. But somewhere or the other, the embodied being becoming outwardly inclined, coming under the attraction of the attributes becomes subjugated to maya. That the embodied being should move towards the goal and God, and should not get entangled in the decaption of illusion or maya. It is essential that the significance of God should be realized. This should be realized that the highest is the divine and Supreme too is the divine. This is a universal truth that whatever is accepted by the mind to be important, its inclination and interest will lie in that direction.
In the conclusion of the 14th chapter the Blessed Lord has described the unwavering and single-pointed devotion as the means of going beyond the attributes. To make this devotion a part of practical life, the interest of the embodied being should be towards the Supreme. The embodied being for this purpose should acknowledge the Supreme as the one beyond illusion (maya), the supreme, the highest, the Supreme person-with this objective in the mind the divine preacher of the Gita, the world preceptor, Lord Shri Krishna begins the 15th chapter-the Yoga of the Supreme Spirit.
