💬 Commentary English

Who is an ever contented yogi with all the senses along with the mind and body under his control, who is of firm determination, who has dedicated his mind and intellect to Me, that devotee of Mine is dear to Me.

The devotion of the Gita is not mere mechanical action. It is a state where the devotee establishes an indivisible relationship with the Lord from inside. In that state, virtues start emerging out naturally. In these verses there is a description of such features which are the natural state of a true devotee. 'Adveshta Sarva Bhutanam'-with aversion towards none. Aversion is a burning predisposition that. Burn both ends. First the one who hates and then the one who is hated. When the joy of devotion takes possession of you then in that higher state of devotion one experiences the same Lord in every being. Then there remains no trace of hatred towards any being. Even when any person hates one, then also one entertains the emotions of welfare and purity towards him.

Maitrah Karun Eva cha. In this state, there is equality towards all and therefore wishing well for all. Nobody is a stranger and with malice towards none. With everybody a feeling of intimacy and relation of love and friendliness. If some one entertains enmity, let him do so; but the true devotee of the Lord does not entertain enmity towards the enemy. Compassion towards everybody flows out naturally. One feels the pain of others as one own. Real compassion means this-when seeing anybody in a sorrowful state one's puts oneself in his shoes. If I had been in his place... at that time the emotion flowing out from inside is what is compassion.

Nirmamha, nirahaankarah-Everything belongs to God. None has brought anything with him nor will carry it away with himself. One has got it for here and for use here. Then for what reason the attachment and arrogance! Whatever is with us is not to be with us forever, it is going to be lost and to be parted with. Till it is with us even then it is not certain till when it will be favourable and when unfavourable for us! Therefore one should be without emotional affection and egoism.

Sam dukh sukha-Equanimity in sorrow and happiness. In this world, there are both favourable and unfavourable situations. It is a natural state of affair to be happy in favourable and unhappy is unfavourable situations. It is not possible that the cycles of favourable and unfavourable situations do not happen in this world. Hut it is possible that these situations do not affect you inner-self and equanimity of mind is retained Favourable and unfavourable situations are divine play, they are His doings. Accept it in this way!

Faced with a favourable situation think of it as His blessing and become more humble. If situation is unfavourable consider it also as His blessing, because unfavourable sthaation is abo a means of making the mind firmly dedicated to God and taking one towards etemal pleasure

th to retaliate but still entertaining good feelings Kahemi-Having power/strength towards the other person

This kind emotion comes naturally to devotees who have been blased with the Lord's grace. No foeding of ill-will towards the person who has harmed us nor the intention of penalizing such a person but ready to pardon him. Remember that this ability to pardon is not a sign of weaknes nor cowardice but it is a sign of magnanimity and mental maturity.

Santushta satatam yogi-The being in any case is ever united with the Supreme Lord The devotee of the divine removes the hardle of impurities, agitation and wil. Yoga is perfected on its own naturally.

In this stats, the yogi memains over cornented. Flernal satisfaction is posible in the state of union with God. Worldly attainments maker us swing between happiness and otrow

Yatatma-Restraining the mind along with the body. Reins should be tightened. The hurses of the senses should not be unrestrained. The devotes who has obtained His grace has his mind united with the Lond firmly, therefore the body is also undir one's control. The sanses cannot go towards sensual enjoyments independently. In any case the body and the senses are not independent. They work according to the mind. Behind the mind there is another state-decision of inhdlect! Therefore, the ned indication is abo this drdhanischyah-in the decision of intellect the firmness is for the Load only. There is no other dilemma, cannot be also, is not there as well. The Lord is mine and my life is for Him. Apart from Him no oder substantial basis. In straight teens the essence of the mutter Mayyaarpit mano buddhih.

The mind should be occupied with His thoughts only. The world should be limited to transactions only. In no saluation the world should be the centre of mind or affection transact in the world but love only for God. The thoughts and decisions of intellect should not keep the world in mitad, Just You and You. There is no uncertainty in the intelled From whom have we got this life? From the Lord! Why? For Him Only. Nothing else and none in the emirtions of the mind nor even in the decision of intellect

Yah Madbhakta Sa mein priya-Such devotee is dear to Mu. When the being considers the Lord as hus then the Land too considers him the same way. Try to make the world yours. The world in any case cannot become yours and cannot always possano us forever. Become His and rest assured that He will become yours. Have love for God He will have love for you, take it for sure, have faith! in the series of the description of further satures another special inspiration
