Karm sonp de jo prabhu ko hi sab,
Aasakti bhi chhod deta hai sab.
Nahin lipt hota kabhi papon se,

The spirit of self-surrender is a marvelous feature of the Gita. Actions are to be performed not with an egoistic intellect but spirit of dedication to the Supreme. I am not the doer. Everything is taking place due to His grace. Actions are not performed for any selfish end but for securing divine Bliss and grace. In straight words the power and ability of the Lord is being utilized for Him by His inspiration-performance of actions with this attitude amounts to the dedication of action to the Lord. Once surrender is accomplished then attachments are gone-the renunciation will happen naturally on its own. The 'I ness' is the entity of 'Myness'. The dedication, making holy of the 'I ness' in the Supreme is true surrender. After this where will there be attachment and expectation of any gain? There is no question on looking towards it. Then whatever is attained is His grace, His Blessings! The centre of all attachments too is He!
While delivering the message giving illustrations to strengthen His view in between is the special joy of the Gita. The lotus leaf in water and at times in the slush remains completely untouched by it. In the same manner while performing action, while remaining in the mire of worldly circumstances and inclinations he is not tainted by it-completely untouched, untainted!
For living in the world this state of existence is a must. This awareness can become a powerful means on the path of spiritual upliftment. Before concentration and firmness in worship-recitation, meditation etc. it is necessary to bring in one's worldly conduct, the alertness and vigilance. If the mind is immersed in worldly affairs then how will it turn towards devotion? Worldly conduct may be good enough but still has the possibility of some defect or other, just as the fire is accompanied by smoke. For this reason 'padmapatramivambhasa' lead life like that of a lotus leaf in water. In reality it, is an excellent way of living; and for it, a simple way is to do spiritual work in the spirit of self-surrender. This is the caution which is to be exercised by the man of action while performing it. Further elaboration in this order follows-
