The subject is important. The devotion of a seeker, without properly grasping, knowing, accepting and recognizing this fact cannot be perfected. The main hurdle on the spiritual path is this only-the restlessness of the inner state, and the subjection to the propensities of desire and anger sometime, somewhere or the other! For this reason, the deliverer of the Gita's sermon is drawing the attention of the seeker by some means or the other to this issue only. Lest there should not be even a least bit of trace of any hindrance, distraction, aversion in the mind of the seeker. Complete deliverance from the desire for sensual objects; because are inheren't in it the illusion, error, only deception of happiness; and real happiness is not there.
The mirror does not contain the face but just an appearance of it. In the objects of the senses lies not pleasure but only the snares of delusion. Wrath is the greatest enemy of life. Never make the mistake of allowing it to enter your life! Abide in a serene state of mind. Make a serene mind and cool temperament your life's ideal! Associate your inclinations to divine emotions! Neither any worry nor any thought-processes should arise! Rise above stress, lack of peace, uncertainty and rush of emotions! Peep inside, descend deep into yourself, experience in yourself this suslimity of life.
If this is achieved during one's lifetime then even after departure from this world this state will continue. The completeness of liberation in the state of Brahmn from all sides will only then be perfected. When on all sides is Brahmn and in all is Brahmn and there is nothing without That, then with whom will there be animosity, towards whom will be the malice? Good for all and welfare for all! Give special attention. This state will not be achieved merely by hearing, reading, worship, recitation and chanting; for this is imperative the practice of meditation! With this intention the Gita's preacher in the following two verses is describing the state and utility of the practice of meditation-
