O Arjun! All the beings that have been in the past and those who are there at present and those who will be in the future I know them all but none knows Me.

💬 Commentary English

The embodied being is of little intelligence and the Supreme is all knowing! Embodied being has his limitations and the Lord is limitless! Embodied being is under bondage of time the destroyer, and the Lord transcends time! Embodied being is limited to a particular space and the Supreme is Omnipresent and the Supreme is the only one who was before, is now and shall be in the future-that too not confined to a particular space; He is immanent and in each and every particle, then what can be hidden from Him? Otherwise also the words past, present and future are meant to make the being understand, it is to clarify the omniscience and omnipresence of the divine power, in the Supreme there does not exist any past, present or future in reality. He is always ever present; for Him the was and the shall be is not there; all is there is and is in His sight; at any time and at any place nothing is not beyond His vision:

Become dedicated to the Lord through reverence and devotion. Believe that He will Himself reveal His essential nature before you. Such an assurance the Lord has at several places given in the Gita. This statement is meant for those ignorant ones who are devoid of devotion and reverence because
