The state of the highest perfection in the form of the attainment of divine is reached by great souls, and on attaining Me they are delivered from taking rebirth which is impermanent and the abode of sorrows!

💬 Commentary English

The welfare of the embodied being lies in the attainment of the divine and divine attainment is absolute peace; divine attainment is also the highest status and the supreme goal of life. The world and the world beyond will be elevated by divine attainment. It is not possible to have supreme peace in this world and the highest status in the world beyond-without the attainment of the divine. The embodied being is a part of the Lord, and without his being harmonized with Him it will neither be possible for him to be delivered from sorrow, nor will he get freedom from the cycle of birth and death; the cycle of rebirth will keep going on. Coming and going from this world repeatedly, taking birth and dying, in this cycle the embodied being will be entangled. To escape from it the means is only this:

The cycle of coming into this world and coming and going from it repeatedly is the abode of sorrow and is also transient. The world itself is not permanent and is ever changing; is in a whirl, and if the mind is engrossed in the world this cycle will persist. Happiness which is gained will also be short-lived and the sorrowful cycle of coming and going from this world will have to be gone through! Rebirth is a logical and irrefutable aspect of the eternal vedic Indian culture. Unless the part merges in the whole, till then there will remain restlessness while the body remains and the state of wandering will be maintained.

If the world is seen with divine eyes and also accepted in the divine spirit then the world will not appear to be full of sorrows. Keep the Supreme as the goal; attachment should not be with the world but with the Lord. He should dwell in the inner emotions; the worldly transaction should be carried out outside! Then the prior destiny will keep on getting exhausted; the embodied being will abide in the divine spirit joyously and on attaining the divine after death will become free from the cycle of coming and going from this world. But if the mind gets engrossed in the world then the world will show its very nature. If today it is favourable then this favourability will appear to be pleasure giving but the world cannot remain the same forever. When it becomes unfavourable, then that very world will become sorrow-giving. This cycle will continue birth after birth; save yourself from this. Transact in the world but in the thoughts and emotions the Lord should prevail. This is the only means to attain bliss and liberation.
