Beyond the reach of time He is the Supreme Himself. The embodied being has limited life in this world. In the mortal world and in the world of gods there is time is calculated in a diffrent way. There, days and nights in comparison to this world are of a much longer duration. One year of a human being is equivalent to one day and night of the gods. The northern movement and the southern movement of the sun are two parts of the year. The northern movement is the day of the gods and the southern movement the night! The duration of the time of the gods has been confirmed to human beings by scriptures like Smriti, etc. There are four ages-Sat, Treta, Dwapar and Kali! By combining all these four, one divine age of the gods is calculated; in the same manner, one thousand such ages is one day of Brahmaji and of the same period is his one night!
With this calculation is associated the Gita's profound philosophical thoughts. Howsoever long may be the period of time but it is still within the limits of time! No one is above these limits apart from the Lord Himself. Brahma too has to complete his time limit and get absorbed in the Lord. For this reason the One who is originator of Brahma, the creator of gods, where the time cannot reach, the status beyond time, the same Lord can be deliverer from the cycle of time and cycle of coming and going from this world. Seek his refuge and opt for Him; with Him should be birth and death! Then only will emancipation be possible; otherwise life will keep whirling in the cycle of creation and dissolution.
