📜 Translation English

Lust, anger and greed-these are the three types of doors to hell, leading to the ruin of the soul meaning that they take one towards one's downfall. Therefore, one should abandon all these three.

💬 Commentary English

Human life is meant for self-elevation, not for downfall in any way. One can attain a lot in life from life. There is multitude of potentialities and possibilities in human existence, even then deprived of these is the unfortunate one who opens for himself the doors of hell.

Elevation and evolution could have taken place on its own. Too much effort is not required for that. Just awareness towards one's objective! In the absence of that, importance being given to the world, taking the acquisition of sensual objects as everything. External allurements having grown, the intoxication of desires built up; this very intoxication takes the form of greed. The lust for more and more keeps on raising its head inside. Sometimes if any hurdle is encountered, things do not happen as desired by the mind then anger crops up! The hold of the propensities completely envelopes life! These propensities do not bring peace during lifetime. After death there is no question of elevation. This eternal part of the Supreme under the evil influence of these tendencies gets caught in the cycle of coming and going from this world; in that pitiable plight too is revelling in these demoniac tendencies, once again being born in low categories-this is the fall of the soul.

After this warning follows the motivation for the righteous path and good status. Lust is the primary cause of downfall. From lust springs desire and from unfulfilled desire springs anger. Greed is the expanded form of desire-wanting more and more endlessly. These three together constitute the triple gateway to hell. The human being who has the power of discrimination should use it to recognize these enemies and resolutely abandon them. The warning is clear. The path of liberation requires freedom from these three. This is not just a warning but a guiding light showing the way to elevation.
