Praman hai shastra isliye,
Kare bhed jo karne na karne mein.
Yehi jaankar hee karma ab tu kar,
Kahein jo bhi, jaise tujhe shastra.

To give respect and cause respect to be given to the tradition is the very nature of the skilful speaker, Lord Shri Krishna. Here the matter related, pertains not just to the words of the Gita spoken from His very mouth, but to the traditions of the scriptures. He has a unique style of saying-What is to be done and what is not to be done-this is the greatest difficulty in life. If one learns to distinguish between them, then the significance of human life will blossom; otherwise; by considering the actions which are not worth doing as right and engaging in them, life will be given over to the demoniac estate. How to distinguish? Towards this end is meant this inspiration from the Gita. 'Shastram pramanam' While going on a journey we sometimes read the directions on signboards-drive on the left side, stop on the turning point and observe watchfully and then proceed, etc. Conformity to such direction is for our own benefit. If we are not following them we may be harmed.
This is the role of the shastras. Right directions for leading life are provided by the scriptures. Where one has to go, what one has to do, in what lies the welfare of life, what is the destination of life and how to achieve it-all these are provided for in the scriptures. That is why this is the inspiration of the Blessed Lord for all of us-life should be led in a good manner; one has to reach the destination; if one has to derive the best of life then make the scriptures your ideal; follow the guidance given in them and move ahead in life! Journey will also be pleasant and the destination will also be reached. Otherwise, the destination does not lie far away; the problem is to find the right way. That is why accept the scriptures in the form of guiding light so that one may find the right path in life.
The constitution is there to regulate the systems of the country. The constitution is above any post or person. Abidance by the constitution is everyone's duty. This is proper also that the system should run as per the constitution. Our scriptures like Shruti, Smriti, Vedas, Puranas are the constitution of humanity. To run the organizations in a systematic way, their compliance is necessary. With this inspiration, this classification of divine and devilish qualities is reaching its culmination.
Divine and devilish people are not mere births; by good qualities a human being can become God and with vices one can become a demon. Human life is a rare opportunity. By rightful use it can become heavenly and with misuse it can become a hell, and by dwelling in the divine spirit and by behaving virtuously in the world, the human being can deserve liberation. The ladder makes one ascend to the roof and can also bring us down, and if one is not careful then the ladder can also lead to a fall. Here the ladder is just a means. One's own self-effort mediates in ascent or descent in one's life. Similar is the case with life.
