💬 Commentary English

The Lord is the centre of all relationships. Creation came into existence-who created it? The Supreme! Who assisted Him in creating creation? Nature! Behind Nature what was efficient cause...? The same Lord. Brahma was made the medium for the birth of beings; but how was Brahma born...? From the Lord. For this reason the Lord is mother, father, grandfather.

The discipline of the father and the affection of the mother, the love of the grandfather-all this you will find in the Lord! In worldly relation the one who is mother is not the father and the father is not the grandfather; here in one all relationships exist; establish whichever relationship you desire; whatever relationship is accepted by the being is acceptable to Him. The entire creation owes its existence to Him and He is the upholder of them all. The rules of governance of creation are also due to Him; He is also its nurturer:

'Vedyam pavitraonkara rksham yajureva ch' The Vedas are not compiled by any being; they are divine. The Vedas are the nature of the Lord; they are not the ordinary literature or scripture. The essential principle worth knowing described in Vedas is the Lord Himself and the essence of the Vedic mantras 'Omkar' is also not a mere word or letter and not even just a name but is the very manifestation of the Lord. The name and the one described by the name are not different; they are the same. The mantras which are chanted in this spirit are much more potent and give results speedily. Purity is also the nature of the Lord. Purity which ensues on the performance of sacrifice, charity, austerity or being imbued with divine emotions, is possible only if the divine feelings are associated with it.
