📜 Translation English

I am the primordial eternal cause of the world and due to Me only creation is involved in activity. Accepting it in this manner the wise, having faith and affection for Me, adore Me.

💬 Commentary English

In every verse of this chapter the sole intention of the Gita's preacher appears to ensure by any means that the vision remains focused on the Supreme power! He is the substance; the substratum too is He. Creation has originated from Him and He is the efficient and material cause for it! All the movements of creation are due to His strength; just as the electrical equipment is functioning due to its being charged by electricity.

The awakening of discrimination is that the realization of the reality is grasped. In fact, intelligent is that one only! To understand and do something new in this temporal world is also the use of intellect but even that competence is the manifestation of the divine. For this reason, it is essential to be devoted to the Lord and also perform essential duties.

What is the form of this devotion? In the following verse, the Lord Himself clarifies
