Greed is the source of all evils. This statement of Arjun is true. The avarice for wealth and kingdom has wrought this havoc. The intellect of the Kauravas is so polluted that they are incapable of assessing the situation. This argument of Arjun is justified but further this statement of Arjun:
From any point of view this does not to be all right because not only deliberations but exhaustive attempts were made to avoid the ill-effects of the war. Lord Krishna went as the ambassador of peace. Yudhisthir was ready to accept even five villages. On one hand, so much of tyranny and on the other hand much of humility. Still, if Duryodhan was not ready to part with the land equivalent to the tip of a needle and one sits quiet, this would amount to cowardice and shirking of duty. But Arjun is now keen on counting the evil-effects of clan destruction.
