Alas! We being aware have still become eager to perform a great sin and are prepared to kill kinsmen for the greed of pleasures and kingdom.

When the mind is thinking only on one line, is totally subjugated then only a particular emotion can arise. The evident example is in the form of Arjun. There is total loss of thinking capacity. He is trying to project his mental weakness in the form of words by using baseless logics, he is trying to justify his arguments as being correct. He is unable to distinguish between sin and virtue. He is mistaking his duty as sin.
His talk is also without substance! For the greed of the pleasures of the kingdom, we are ready to engage in a battle despite being wise. If the greed of the pleasures of the kingdom was the real reason then the kingdom could have been wrested long time back from the Kauravas because Pandavas had lawful right. If the greed was only for the pleasures of the kingdom then no attempt would have been made to convince the Duryodhan, etc. time and again. Lord Krishna would not have gone as the peace ambassador and would not have agreed to have been satisfied with just 5 villages for the Pandavas. Greed is on the other side because of which there is so much of injustice and unrighteousness. Here there is a talk of ending demoniac tendencies in the form of injustice, unlawfulness, deceit, malice, conceit, hypocrisy, egoism and obstinate behaviour. The society should get a healthy example. The prime motive is to bring the objective of incarnation of Lord Krishna before the mental frame of humans. But Arjun enveloped by delusion is not expected to understand.
