Chapter 11 — Vishwaroop Darshan Yoga

🕉 Original Sanskrit Shloka

tvamakşaram paramam veditavyamtvamasya viśvasya parah nidhānam

tvamavyayaḥ śāśvatadharmagoptā sanātanastvam puruşo mato me

🕉 English Translation

Param akshar tum janane yogya ho,

Sahara tumhara hee vishwa ko.

Sanatan dharma ke ho rakshak tumhi,

Manu tumhe purusha avinashi bhi.

📜 Translation English

You are the imperishable worth knowing, ie. You are Supreme Brahmn and Lord of all. You are the ultimate abode of the entire universe; You are the protector of the ever existing religion and in my opinion You are also the immortal, eternal Person.

💬 Commentary English

While having a view of the universal form the personal experience of Arjun is being related. The manner in which Arjun is viewing and experiencing this form, it is in truth a divine, inspiring, appropriate and apt experience-

The essential truth which the scriptures like Vedas etc. inspire us to learn, the knowledge of which is the ultimate goal of life, on knowing which nothing remains to be known that imperishable Supreme truth worth knowing are You Yourself. The entire universe is dependent on Your support; I am seeing You as the refuge of all.

The religion which came into existence after the human creation that was the beginningless, eternal and ever present religion. Since when has been the eternal religion in existence? Since the creation began. Who was responsible for establishing it? By the One from whom creation came into existence. That is why whenever the eternal religion is harmed, there is an increase in unrighteousness. Then You take incarnation to protect the eternal religion.

Prior to creation You existed. Creation came out of You; You are its end too. You existed, are existing and shall continue to do so! That is why You are the eternal imperishable person; this I am experiencing-
