All eleven Rudras, twelve Adityas and eight Vasus, the Sadhyas (particular class of celestial beings), Visvedevas, the Ashwinins, the Maruts and the assembly of manes, Gandharvas, Yakshas, demons and the group of perfected ones are all watching You in astonishment.

💬 Commentary English

Arjun requested the Lord for the sight of His universal form. The Blessed Lord stated His desire to show more than what Arjun had requested for (Gita 11/5-7). When the situation to show arose then the Lord showed more than what He had said. He would do so by presenting it directly before Arjun. By way of example the Lord had described Himself amongst the Adityas as Vishnu, amongst the Rudras as Shankar and fire amongst the Vasus, Marichi amongst the Maruts as His glory. Arjun desired to see that very form of the Lord which had been described by Him as His glory. But the Lord Himself related to Arjun that see all Adityas, Vasus, Rudras, Maruts, etc. in Me! Here Arjun is viewing apart from all this numerous other things too-

Prepare yourself, the Lord is ever ready to bestow His beneficence. Become thirsty for this grace with humility and faith! You will be blessed with more than what you deserve and desire. Open up, blossom and empty yourself out. You will experience His grace more than what you have expected and you feel it filling up the open empty vessel denoting yourself. Observe in this verse that none is beyond Him; all is in Him. Apart from the gods, Yakshas, Gandharvas, demons, manes, perfected ones all can be seen and all including Rudra, Vasu, Aditya, Sadhya, Ashwinis and Maruts are viewing this terrible form of the Lord with awe-
