🕉 Original Sanskrit Shloka
dyāvāpṛthivyoridamantaram hivyāptam tvayaikena diśaśca sarvāḥ
dṛṣṭvādbhutam rūpamugram tavedamlokatrayaṁ pravyathitam mahātman
🕉 English Translation
Jagah hai jo swarg aur iss prithvi mein,
Samayee dishayein sabhi aapse.
Alokik bhyankar jo hai roop yeh,
Triloki kanpe isseh dekh ke.
📜 Translation
English
O Great Soul! The entire space between heaven and earth and also all quarters are pervaded by You alone and beholding this unearthly and terrible fierce form the three worlds are trembling with fear.
There is no particle in which the Lord does not exist. The space which is between heaven and earth that in fact is not an empty one. There is nothing in the world which is void; even the emptiness is pervaded by the Supreme. Wherever you look, you will find Him. All quarters are pervaded by the vast Supreme. The Lord is also causing one to experience that He has incarnated in this form. On incarnating it does not mean that He is just present here only. Directly viewing the vast cosmic form is Arjun saying so-
The form looks unearthly and divine too. But at this time it is also imbued with fierceness; that is why this indication is given that by Your seemingly fierce and terrible form the three worlds are terrified. This is the vision of the universal form. Arjun is observing that where as the pleasing form of the Lord thrills everyone then such a terrible form terrifies-
