The Yoga of the Gita is an inner state of mind, it is not an external action. What a simple and natural state! The state of Yoga has been described by this holy scripture in such a simple and straight expression.
The human birth is a birth for engaging in actions. One has undertaken actions. All other births are for indulgence. They have to bear the effects of prior destiny only. They have to be governed by their destiny. They do not have right to perform fresh actions. This right is only given for the human birth. Man can perform actions. One is bound to perform the actions as per one's destiny. Further more, by resolute mind and noble deeds with pure motives one can, on one hand mitigate the effect of destiny and will pave the way for self-elevation, joy and even for liberation. But this is possible only when there is only action performed without any expectation or for fruits of action. 'Maa phaleshu kadachan' The Blessed Lord gives a clear indication that you have no right to desie for fruits of action. Perform an action but with out an eye on the reward.
State of Yoga while performing action! In itself a wonderful state! State of in-action of any kind in the name of yoga is unacceptable to Krishna of Gita. Blessed Lord has given a very unambiguous indication–'Ma te sango asatva karmani' inaction or not to perform action should not be your inclination. Perform actions; you are bound to do so, but in such a manner that you do not come within its bondage. A very easy way has been suggested by the Gita–in the beginning itself become even-minded–then perform action, not with a unstable mind, not with a restless, agitated and deluded mind, not in a state of dilemma, but be absolutely serene and equipoised.
