Gradually, the Blessed Lord is taking the seeker towards the indescribable joy of the yoga of meditation. Believe that in meditation lies immense treasure. Much beyond our own imagination, much more than our capacity to think. But for this is required 'yogasevaya'-utilizing yoga meaning the practice of meditation! That one has to do oneself! One will attain only by making effort, not by sheer talks.
'Jin khoja tin paeinya, gehre pani paith. 'Whoever seeks will find when he delves in the depth.
The more the sugar, the more will be the sweetness; the more the practice, the more delightful will be the experience! While engaging in the practice of meditation, first of all withdraw from all the egoism and attachments of the world, dive deep within oneself and sever youself from the unreal! Birth after birth the mind which revelled and was immersed in the world will get separated from it by the heat of practice and will get withdrawn from it. This withdrawal will be on its own, cause the inner inclinations to abide in the consciousness of the Lord. In the language of the philosophy of Patanjali yoga this is called 'yogash chitvritti nirodha'-yoga is a state where all the mental inclinations are restrained by yoga.
In fact, the Supreme is one's own very nature; He is no different from us. The involvement in worldly relations has caused this distancing. For this reason the Blessed Lord advises one to abide in the Supreme, with the mind completely restrained-'yatra chaivatmanatmanam pashyannatmani tusyati' seeing the Self by the self one is satisfied in his own self. Our real nature is that of the Supreme. As soon as the coverings of the clinging to the worldly relations comes off, this state will come into experience.
On the removal of the clouds hiding the sun, the sun being in its own place becomes clearly visible. The Supreme spirit dwells inside oneself, the cloud-like veil being removed; this nature would be experienced clearly and vividly by oneself in the Self! Contentment is its very nature. Contentment is not experienced separately from somewhere else; that is simultaneously experienced then and there-'pasyannatmanni tusyati! Is this experience all that is in meditation or...! Move further, and go deep...much lies ahead...
